Ovid, one of the main poets of the Roman era, narrated in "The Metamorphoses", his best known work, the change of the heroes who, thanks to their exploits, from men have become divinities reaching the stars, therefore it cannot be a mere coincidence the fact that the META restaurant in Paradiso, originally born as Metamorphosis, is experiencing a change after reaching the Star, the Michelin one.
«The period immediately following the achievement of the Star and the 16 Gault Millau points was certainly exciting, but it made us focus mainly on the activity of the gastronomic restaurant - says Evelyn Mantegazza, director of Meta World -. After this adjustment, however, the time has come to raise the bar even further, to further increase both the offer and the quality of all our realities».
Precisely for this reason, Meta World has reorganized itself, with many interesting innovations: from those still in the pipeline but which will soon see the light, such as the new Meta Med Fusion menu, which will thus celebrate its first 10 years of life, those that many customers have already been able to see… and taste!
Il Patio, the elegant bistro in Palazzo Mantegazza, has in fact been renovated. Not only in the proposal, but also in the philosophy, as confirmed by the director Mantegazza: «The quality of the dishes and the service that has always distinguished us will be enhanced by the signature and personal touch of our chef Luca Bellanca, who personally oversaw the menu» .
«The creation of the Patio menu was for me much more than a side activity - explains chef Bellanca -, but a journey through the history of META. It is no coincidence that, in addition to a selection of traditional dishes reinterpreted in a Med&Fushion key, many dishes that have characterized our starred cuisine will be offered, such as fusilloni with duck ragout, pistachio and orange, Mediterranean turbot or our inevitable gourmet tartare. All in a context that will change often, taking into account seasonality, to whet the curiosity of our customers».
The idea of the Meta team is to differentiate the proposal between lunch at the bistro and dinner at a starred restaurant, which obviously live on different dynamics and needs, while maintaining a common thread between the two realities. «Thanks to the renewed concept of the Patio, at noon we will be much more streamlined and "modular", to meet the needs of those who want to eat well during their lunch break and don't have much time available, but also of those who may have invited customers and requires a certain quality, with the possibility of selecting a wine from our list, another
novelty of the bistro», he explains Bellanca. Who confirms that «I will supervise the new direction undertaken with great enthusiasm. You will often find me "sautéing" in the kitchen: it will be a pleasure to find the customers who came to META for lunch».
