We continue to hear about Germany this year: after the European Football Championship, here is a new team that will delight the palates of many Ticinese for two months.

Led by Thomas Buhner and together with the team of Ticino chefs from some of the best establishments in our territory, they will present a unique gastronomic reality, which will pleasantly surprise the public.

Today, Germany is a country with an increasingly rich and rapidly growing food and wine offering. "I have always loved German gastronomy and wines," says Dany Stauffacher, CEO & Founder of San Pellegrino Flavors Ticino – and I am very happy that in the new edition of the Festival I will be able to offer some novelties. Already in 2013 we proposed a twinning with Berlin presenting a rich and unexpected reality. Also this year, the Festival being based on a cultural exchange, we will cross the cantonal and national borders and on September 19 we will go to Munich with some of our Ticino excellences: Eugenio Belfiore of Villa Sassa – Lugano, Luca Bellanca of the Meta Restaurant – Lugano, Marco Ortolani of La Réserve Eden au Lac in Zurich e Andrea Pedrina by La Dispensa di Lugano, in collaboration with Switzerland Tourism, Ticino Tourism, Lugano Region and the Ascona-Locarno tourist board.

S.Pellegrino Sapori Ticino does not only speak German this year, also because the language of gastronomy is universal. We were very pleased and proud to be invited by Switzerland Tourism and the Swiss Embassy to organize a dinner at the Maison Suisse during the Paralympic Games in Paris, after last year we presented the 2023 edition of the Festival at the Embassy. And so, last August 29, another Ticino team represented the rich food and wine offerings of Ticino (Marco Badalucci of the Badalucci Taste of Art in Lugano, Christian Moreschi of Villa Principe Leopoldo in Lugano, Federico Palladino of the Osteria Enotaca Cuntitt of Castel San Pietro and Andrea Pedrina (from La Dispensa in Lugano) in the heart of Paris.

This edition of the Festival, in addition to presenting great names and great cuisine, speaks a lot about hospitality, a fundamental concept for quality tourism and the success of every event.

«It makes me very proud – he underlines Danny Stauffacher – the new collaboration with the'EHL of Lausanne, the best hospitality school in the world, which forges future leaders in the hotel and restaurant sector, but not only. An excellence that we will begin to know better also in our latitudes and that will see us as a reference antenna in our region and in Italy. An opportunity for an important exchange to increasingly develop the culture of hospitality, fundamental for tourism and the entire economy. To sanction the important collaboration with EHL, the starred chef Lucrece Lacchio, from the restaurant Le Berceau des sens on the Lausanne campus, will be the star of the Festival's women's evening on November 18, together with a group of students who will be able to experience what organizing an event means in practice.

With these premises, we will continue our work with the aim of networking different entities to promote the excellence of the sector. Among these, a new dialogue has also begun with Alma, the international school of Italian cuisine. Hospitality is a way of life and gastronomy is its beating heart, for this reason I always try to create synergies between food and wine, hotels, culture and landscape. In this perspective, for the third time, I will participate in the Luxury Hospitality Conference, from this year as a member of the Steering Committee as well as moderator, talking with Markus Venzin CEO of the EHL GROUP, which will be held in Milan on September 26th and where the lunch will be organized by Sapori Ticino with Christian Moreschi of Villa Principe Leopoldo and Federico Palladino of the Osteria Enotaca Cuntitt in Castel San Pietro. Another exclusive opportunity to present our gastronomic savoir-faire to the general managers of the most important and renowned luxury hotels and chains, with also CEOs of international luxury brands, including starred chefs and industry experts from all over the world".

The Festival will begin with the Grand Opening at The Splendide Royal Hotel of Lugano Sunday 29 September dedicated to the Chefs of Swiss Deluxe Hotels with Marco Veneruso that hosts Mauro Taufer of the Kulm Hotel St.Moritz, Dominik Sato and Fabio Toffolon of The Chedi Andermatt and Thierry Buffeteau of the Beau Rivage Palace in Lausanne and then continue with the official evenings and will close on Sunday 24 November always with the Final party atHotel Splendide Royal from Lugano with Marco Veneruso together with Marco Badalucci of the Badalucci Taste of Art in Lugano, Luca Bellanca of the Meta Restaurant – Lugano, Federico Palladino of the Osteria Enotaca Cuntitt of Castel San Pietro Great Swiss Tables of Ticino.

For a younger audience, the Lounge evening October 24th at the Lugano Casino and important news are 4 evenings with 4 new talents of the competition S.Pellegrino Young Chef, which selects the best young chefs under 30 from all over the world: the Swiss Raul Garcia which will be at the Grand Hotel du Lac in Vevey with Guy Ravet, the Greek Gregory Kikis, Italian Michele Antonelli and the German Anton Lebersorger, with 3 chefs at 3 new facilities that have joined the large SPST family: Emanuel Negrusa of the Morcote Tower Restaurant, Salvatore Sanfilippo of the La Baia Restaurant in Locarno and Charles Bridge Greppi  of the Hotel Belvedere, also in Locarno.
