Switzerland is preparing to celebrate the National Day of August 1st with a major sporting event: the debut jumping competition at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The prestigious Palace of Versailles will be the setting for the qualifiers for the obstacle course final in teams, where the Swiss team, led by the 2012 Olympic champion Steve Guerdat, will present themselves with medal ambitions.
A reason for particular pride for Ticino is the presence of two horses owned by local breeders in the Swiss team. Dynamix de Belhème, belonging to Sabina Cartossi and Gianluca Agustoni of the CHC Horses stable of Sementina, will be ridden by Guerdat himself, while Leone Jei, owned by Adolfo Juri of Ambrì, will be entrusted to the talent of Martin Fuchs.
For Cartossi and Agustoni, whose Dynamix was awarded the best horse of 2023 and reigning European champion, this is the second participation in the Olympic Games, after the experience of Tokyo 2020 with Venard de Cerisy, always under the saddle of Guerdat. «Steve has a special relationship with horses, he treats them with love and great sensitivity», underline the owners of Dynamix and Venard, «and we place total trust in him. Our friendship has bound us for years and the Swiss national team always welcomes us with respect and warmth."
The participation of two Ticino horses in the Olympic Games represents an important recognition for the excellence of equestrian breeding and a reason for great enthusiasm for all of Ticino.
