A wave of enthusiasm and renewal is about to sweep across the fairways of Canton Ticino. The Ticino Golf Federation proudly announces a change of guard at the top: Gabriela Cotti Musio is the new president. She succeeds Luca Allidi, who with dedication and competence has been able to lead the organization in the previous years, leaving a solid legacy on which to build.
The appointment of Gabriela Cotti Musio, former vice president of the Golf Club Lugano, marks a significant moment for Ticino golf. Her vision is clear and ambitious: consolidate the successes achieved, strengthen the synergy between local clubs and, above all, make golf a sport increasingly accessible to all, breaking down barriers and promoting inclusion.
“Taking the helm of the Ticino Golf Federation is a great honor and a stimulating challenge for me,” said Gabriela Cotti Musio. “Golf has enormous potential as an experience of personal growth, inclusion and development of useful skills in life and sport. I want to help make it even more visible and open to everyone, especially the new generations.”
Under the aegis of the Ticino Golf Federation, the cantonal golf calendar continues to offer important events. Among these, the Ticino Absolute Championships stand out, which took place at the beginning of May, participation in Sportissima - the cantonal event dedicated to the promotion of physical activity, where golf is always present with trial spaces for those interested - and the original Golf on the snow, which this year animated San Bernardino.
Luca Allidi, now president of the Golf Club Patriziale di Ascona, expressed his full confidence in the new leadership: “I leave the presidency with gratitude for the shared path and full confidence in the new guide. Gabriela will be able to give new impetus to our Federation, keeping our roots alive and facing future challenges with energy.”
With Gabriela Cotti Musio at the helm, the Ticino Golf Federation renews its commitment to supporting a constantly growing sport, skillfully balancing the valorization of tradition with openness to innovation. This transition promises to infuse new energy and perspectives into the world of golf in Ticino, aiming for an even brighter and more inclusive future for all enthusiasts and for anyone who wants to approach this fascinating sport.
