You started playing golf at a very young age. What were the steps that led him to become a professional of this sport?

«I started playing when I was 10 with my parents. Then I first took part in club competitions, then in national level ones and then decided, thanks also to a book that my father gave me, to pursue a professional career. Initially as a Maestro and then at 30 as a player ».

What does it mean to be part of the most important European golf circuits?

«Being able to reach it is a source of great pride and satisfaction. In recent years I have only been able to participate in very few stages of the major circuit (European Tour) and certainly the goal is to play that type of races on a permanent basis ».

What have been the most prestigious career achievements?

«I certainly remember with pleasure the cut I spent at the Omega Masters held in Crans in 2017. It was a wonderful experience where I was lucky enough to compare myself with great champions and be able to understand where to improve. Then the two Omnium (Swiss Absolute Championships) won for two years in a row in 2018 and 2019 ».

Luck and talent. How important are these elements in the success of a sportsman?

«These are two aspects that certainly count when doing sport but then it's up to the athlete to exploit them. If you are not ready or do not sacrifice yourself enough, when the time comes they will not be enough to take you high. "

How do you train to keep fit and be ready to face competitions?

“This is a very important aspect and I am happy with the question. It was not easy but over the years I have built a team that I trust completely because they are an excellence in their field. I make use of an athletic trainer (Enzo Di Costanza) who has been following me since I was a boy and knows me very well and with whom I have a special relationship. I owe a lot to him. Then a coach on technique (Gianluca Patuzzo) and a coach for training (Roberto Francioni) with whom I have been working for more than a year and with whom I am really very happy ».

How do you judge the organizational status of golf sports in Switzerland and Ticino?

«In recent years there has been a decisive change of pace in the federation and this must be given credit to those who have worked and are working. As far as the professional aspect is concerned, there is a great desire to do and we feel placed at the center of the project and this is very pleased because you feel considered and it gives you that necessary push then to give 110% to get the results. Surely we could talk a lot more about this splendid sport in order to bring many young people closer. It is a sport that teaches a lot and above all it is also a sport for children! You can create beautiful friendships, try it for yourself ».
