At the beginning of February, the president of the HCL, Vicky Mantegazza, addressed with a video message to all those who had subscribed to the Cornèr Arena season ticket for the 2020/2021 season but who, due to the coronavirus pandemic, they had not been able to enjoy the membership. The goal was to help the club in the current extraordinary situation and the response of the fans was not long in coming: "Today the HCL would like to thank all the people and companies who, in a regime of uncertainty, last summer, all those who in recent weeks have communicated to the club, digitally (70%) or on paper (30%), their choice and all those who within the limit of their economic possibilities have been able and willing to waive 100% or 50% of the reimbursement of the amount paid ".
In the end, the share of donations compared to unused season tickets exceeded 50%: the most loyal fans of the club confirmed the affection that binds them to the Bianconeri colors, to the club and to its champions.
Among these funds, 100 francs were dedicated to the Youth Section, which will in turn be able to cope with the difficulties caused by the pandemic and carry on the great tradition of the Lugano Hockey Club.
Fans who have completely or partially renounced the reimbursement of the 2020/2021 season ticket will be contacted at the end of the season or as soon as the anti-COVID-19 regulations allow it, to affix their signature inside the first team locker room.
