But what is the history of a sports club made of? Of trophies, of course, of legendary men, but above all of the colors worn. The threads, the wefts that form a knit become symbols, to be kept as an heirloom. On the occasion of the 80th birthday of the Hockey Club Lugano, the President Vicky Mantegazza therefore wanted to personally create an object that will become the icon of the union, strength and pride that binds the fans to the Club. A bow and a pin handmade, using scraps of fabric from historical sweaters. This item will accompany the HCL's entire 2020 summer campaign, a campaign in which all the men and women of the club will testify their commitment to the community.
During this surreal period of our life, we realized how important normality is. That normality that so many voluntary associations, so many ordinary people guarantee every day, sacrificing their time and energy, helping those who have been hit hard by destiny, making gestures whose value cannot be monetized.
The voluntary associations in the Lugano area are many and constitute a great wealth. They are a reality that honors our territory. For this reason, the Hockey Club Lugano intends to thank some of them in the coming weeks, turning them on the spotlight they deserve. We have selected some entities from various sectors that, especially during the current pandemic, are and are proving to be fundamental.
Starting today and throughout the summer, all the members of the HCL, coordinated by the marketing sector, will dedicate a fraction of their time and will undertake small actions in their favor.
In the current context, marked by a thousand financial uncertainties, ours will be a zero-cost campaign. This is why we will ask for solidarity and active participation from our fans in highlighting our actions, sharing and amplifying every gesture with the community, that of social media in the first place.
