The Sempach Golf Club, described as one of the best golf courses in the world in the «Rolex World's Top 1000 Golf Courses» guide, was the ideal location for the European Challenge Tour from 2010 to 2020. With a total distance of 6.637 m, Woodside's 18-hole par 72 championship course is the longest championship course in Switzerland. Lakeside's 18-hole par 70 championship course follows the natural contours of the terrain over a total distance of 5.591 m.

The fairways, designed by renowned golf course architect Kurt Rossknecht, lead along challenging courses interspersed with numerous bodies of water. Their shape is perfectly suited to both the most difficult tournaments and a more relaxed game of golf in a landscape of extraordinary beauty. You can take advantage of large practice areas to improve your golf skills and develop excellent technique. The Panorama Range and Club Range comprise 70 teeing areas, 20 of which are covered.

The construction of the Golf-Sempach, designed in 1992, began in 1994 with the provision of 18+9 holes. At the time the Club already had 100 members and the following year the first Club House with the Green Garden restaurant was inaugurated. And, finally, on 7 September 1996 the 18+9 hole Sempach Golf facility was officially opened.

In 2006 the original facilities were expanded by another 9 holes and some fairways were renovated: thus the Woodside and Lakeside courses were born. Then in 2007 the Club House was completely renovated to house the Golf Shop, "The Terrace" bar and the guest cloakroom . At the same time, the new restaurant building was inaugurated, which houses the “Le Club” and “Green Garden” restaurants as well as ballrooms with a capacity of up to 300 people.

Over the years, Golf Sempach has seen important competitions held at Swiss level and international including, several times, events of the European Challenge Tour. In 2019 the tenth anniversary edition of the Swiss Challenge recorded an extraordinary success, with around 10.000 visitors who became passionate about golf played at a high international level.

On the night between 18 and 19 January 2021, the Golf Sempach restaurant building was razed to the ground by fire, but on 1 June 2021, just four months, the new Le Club restaurant opened its doors. The building it was built with a modular wooden structure and can be reused in a new location after the opening of the final restaurant in 2023. The Le Club restaurant offers high-level gastronomic proposals, with fresh market products and regional specialties, to be tasted on terraces from which you can enjoy a magnificent panorama.
