Sport once again proves its role as a vehicle for raising awareness and solidarity with the Charity Game, held on January 17 at the Cornèr Arena between Hockey Club Lugano and HC Davos, which raised a significant sum for the fight against rare genetic diseases in children. Thanks to the auction of the special jerseys worn by the Juventus players for the occasion, over 11 francs were raised, all of which was donated to the Telethon Foundation.

The initiative saw the creation of unique uniforms, made even more symbolic by the presence of the handprints of children from the youth sector, of the young athletes from the “Tutti in gioco” project of the Raggruppamento San Bernardo and of some players from the first team. A concrete gesture to shine a spotlight on often little-known pathologies, which affect the youngest and require constant support.
Concrete help in research and support for families
The entire amount raised will go to the Telethon Foundation, which has been financing scientific research and supporting the Rare Genetic Diseases Association for years. The latter actively works to improve the quality of life of those living with complex pathologies such as neuromuscular diseases, cystic fibrosis, Marfan syndrome, retinitis pigmentosa and neurofibromatosis. The goal is not only to promote research, but also to offer concrete support to families, ensuring moments of leisure and personalized assistance.
HCL and its social commitment
The Hockey Club Lugano thus reaffirms its social commitment, confirming itself as a sports organization that is attentive to issues that go beyond the playing field. The club would like to warmly thank all those who participated in the initiative, demonstrating once again how the world of hockey can be a promoter of important values such as solidarity and closeness to those who need it most.
