The Lugano di Magliaso Golf Club recently celebrated its General Assembly, during which important decisions were made for the future of the prestigious sporting institution. The main news concerns the reconfirmation of Giuseppe Rossi in the role of president, together with the six members of the Committee: Gabriela Cotti Musio, Nicolas Girotto, Isabella Guglielmone, Philipp Peter, Pietro Vicari and the newcomer Davide Iannotta. This team will lead the club until 2028.
In a vibrant acceptance speech, President Rossi outlined the priority objectives on which the Committee will focus in the coming years. First of all, the creation of a four-year investment plan, already partially approved by the club community, aimed at modernizing the structures and raising the level of hospitality to the highest standards of Ticino.
A fundamental point will also be the valorisation of the role of the management and of all the collaborators and partners of the club, recognizing the importance of every single contribution in the overall excellence of the Lugano di Magliaso Golf Club. Furthermore, a strategic and development plan will be drawn up for the next few years, aimed at confirming the club's role as a tourist attractor and ensuring its continuity over time.
The Lugano Golf Club in Magliaso, founded in 1923 as a 9-hole course along the Magliasina, has undergone significant developments over the years, culminating in its transformation into an 18-hole course in 1969 thanks to the work of the architect Donald Harradine. Further improvements have recently been made by architect Peter Harradine. Today, despite occupying only 32 hectares instead of the 50 normally expected for a golf course, it represents an authentic pearl in the golf world.
The course, characterized by a high technical challenge, stands out as a green oasis in the heart of Magliaso, offering golf enthusiasts a one-of-a-kind experience.
