The Dolder Golf Club Zurich is a small and challenging 9-hole course and a club house with a refined restaurant and a magnificent view of Zurich: with these prerogatives the Dolder Golf club Zurich presents itself which is located on the Zürichberg and offers a splendid view of the city of Zurich.
Il Dolder Golf Club Zürich was founded in 1907, and in 2007 it therefore celebrated its hundredth anniversary at the Dolder Grand Hotel. This building had been opened in 1899 as a place of relaxation and regeneration for citizens in need of rest. In 1924 the hotel changed from seasonal to annual opening. As a result, it quickly became the most sought-after address for famous people, a meeting point for Zurich's high society and the setting for elegant and exclusive balls. 2012 was another important milestone in the club's history: the lease agreement with the city of Zurich was extended for the next 40 years. In the winter of 2013-2014 the clubhouse was also completely renovated. The external walls remained unchanged, the interior was completely transformed.
In 2004-2005 the course was slightly modified and all the greens were renewed. The small field is looked after with love and professionalism, which makes it attractive even for the most demanding players. The total distance of the route defined by the “Back Tees” is 1683 metres. The varied course can be played in two rounds, the tees remaining the same in both rounds. The numerous slopes, stepped greens, bunkers and a historic, dense forest of trees make the course a physically and mentally demanding experience despite its limited length. Dolder Golf is therefore a course with small, well-defended greens, where precision is therefore more important than length.
The range of services is particularly rich, making it one of the best equipped golf clubs in Switzerland. Apart from the bar with snacking service and a gourmet restaurant much frequented by the refined citizens of Zurich, the Dolder offers a wide range of electric golf carts, qualified instructors for individual and group lessons, approach greens, driving range, ProShop, changing rooms, Hi-Fi in the Club House, plus rooms equipped for the organization of meetings, seminars and events.
