Boutique in VerbierAt the height of the winter season, Verbier confirms itself as one of the most sought-after Alpine destinations also from the point of view of high-end retail. On December 22nd, the Swiss watch brand Omega celebrated the official opening of its new boutique in Verbier, with an evening event that brought together guests from the world of sport, fashion and entertainment.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by an intimate gala, took place in the center of the Valais town, attended by Raynald Aeschlimann, President and CEO of Omega, and actor Paul Wesley, the brand's global ambassador. The inauguration represents a further step in the brand's positioning strategy in Switzerland's most iconic Alpine locations.

A boutique in Verbier designed to connect with the local area

The new Omega boutique is located in Rue de Medran 20, in a particularly visible and strategic location, a short distance from the ski lifts. This is no coincidence, reflecting the brand's historic connection to the world of sports, particularly winter sports.

Boutique in VerbierThe interior of the space was designed to blend the typical atmosphere of a mountain chalet with a contemporary aesthetic. Natural wood surfaces, Zebrano wood furnishings, cream leather accents, and modern decorative elements define a warm yet refined atmosphere. Completing the experience are a stone fireplace, a lounge bar area, and a balcony overlooking the Val de Bagnes landscape.

Iconic elements and references to the Omega identity

At the boutique's entrance, a two-meter-tall golden statue of an astronaut welcomes visitors, evoking one of the brand's most recognizable imagery. Outside, a decorative ski lift creates a direct visual connection with Verbier's mountain setting, reinforcing the space's distinctive character.

According to CEO Raynald Aeschlimann during the inauguration, Verbier effectively embodies Omega's historic values: precision, performance, style, and a spirit of adventure. The boutique is not conceived solely as a point of sale, but as a place to meet and immerse yourself in the brand's universe.

The opening night was attended by numerous ambassadors and friends of the house. Among those in attendance were Swiss designer Kévin Germanier, golfers Kim and Morgane Métraux, Olympic skier Mathilde Gremaud, former Miss Switzerland Christa Rigozzi, and model Manuela Frey.

Paul Wesley, speaking at the event, emphasized the connection between craftsmanship, the mountains, and the Alpine lifestyle, elements that, in his opinion, find a coherent and authentic synthesis in the new boutique in Verbier.

Verbier and the brand's long sporting tradition

Known for its technical slopes, high-end dining options, and one of the liveliest après-ski scenes in the Alps, Verbier fits naturally into Omega's sporting narrative. The brand has a long history of international competitions, as evidenced by its role as Official Timekeeper of the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

In this context, the new opening strengthens Omega's presence in iconic locations for sport and luxury tourism, reaching an international audience accustomed to combining performance, lifestyle, and excellence.
