Born in 1956, the Bathyscaphe line by Blancpain It was designed to be the urban alter ego of the Fifty Fathoms, the first true diving model. Today, this line stands out for its versatile character, capable of adapting to any situation, whether it is a day at the office, a sporting endeavor or a formal evening.
True urban chameleons, the latest black ceramic models with colorful sunray dials are no exception. Energizing the existing series of black ceramic watches, the new Bathyscaphe increases the range of possible combinations. Whether it is a three-hand date watch, a complete calendar with moon phase or a flyback chronograph, the new Bathyscaphe collection presents understated and technically complicated watches. As for the three-hand date model, the line is enriched with two new dial colors: a deep green and a blue that evokes the sun's rays penetrating the depths of the sea. These dials offer an exceptional play of light and give the watches a unique personality. The complete calendar with moon phase is adorned with these elegant shades in addition to black, while the flyback chronograph is dressed in blue.
Robust and sporty, the high-tech ceramic that makes up the 43.6 mm cases (water resistant to 30 bar) and the new patented bracelets of these models lends itself perfectly to the Bathyscaphe line and its youthful, dynamic and bold DNA. Durable, extremely scratch-resistant and hypoallergenic, this high-tech ceramic is almost five times harder than stainless steel while being 25% lighter, making it ideal for everyday use.
An ideal playground for technological innovations, the Bathyscaphe line offered the Manufacture its first ceramic bracelet, made of very tight but absolutely resistant links.
Mechanically, the new timepieces are brought to life by three in-house movements designed and assembled to ensure exceptional chronometric performance. Calibre 1315 stands out for its impressive five-day power reserve thanks to three series-mounted barrels. The complete moon phase calendar, for its part, houses calibre 5054, a reliable movement that allows the wearer to adjust the calendar indications at any time of the day without risk of Beating to the rhythm of calibre 5200, the flyback chronograph is finally characterised by its high frequency of 5 Hz and its great precision to 1/10 of a second thanks to a complex and prestigious column wheel system with vertical clutch.
With the arrival of these new models, the Bathyscaphe line thus enriches its range of black ceramic watches, now offering three variations (three-hand date, complete moon phase calendar and flyback chronograph) with three choices of dials (blue, green and black) and a wide selection of straps.
