For more than forty years, Villeret It embodies the vision of generations of artisans and watchmakers who have made Blancpain a benchmark in Haute Horlogerie. Now powered by the latest manufacture calibers, decorated in the tradition of Haute Horlogerie, Villeret expresses more than ever an ideal of purity, elegance, and meaning.
The Villeret collection has recently been reinvented with a series of subtle and refined details. From sun-brushed golden brown tones to opaline dials embellished with gold accents, beige or blue-grey shades, and interchangeable straps that adapt to your every whim: the evolution is evident in both color and material.
Added to these touches are more profound transformations such as redesigned hands, equipped with a luminescent insert, which offer both a contemporary touch and better readability in the dark. Or thendice 18-karat gold Roman numerals with satin-finished upper faces and polished bevels on the sides. The traditional "12" has been replaced by the "JB" symbol. The overall design features a more sculpted and sharper relief.
At 3 o'clock, the date window features a wider and more harmonious aperture. Furthermore, an openworked oscillating weight crafted from red or yellow gold, with beveled edges and finishes revealing the mechanical heart. Finally, the new models ensure unprecedented comfort thanks to a system of interchangeable straps and clasps for everyday wear. The highly flexible, hand-stitched "coupé sellier" finish combines comfort and traditional craftsmanship.
The moon phase calendar series, featuring an enlarged aperture, ceramic disc, and domed and applied moon in satin-finished gold, deserves special mention. Secure movements allow the wearer to adjust the calendar display whenever desired, without damaging the movement. Meanwhile, the 40,00 mm calendars feature traditional center correctors under the lugs, patented in 2005, which are activated with the simple touch of a finger.
Thanks to their variety and richness, Blancpain's moon phases occupy a unique place in watchmaking. This complication, both poetic and technical, played a key role in the revival of the Maison and, more generally, in the renaissance of Swiss watchmaking. It has thus become one of Blancpain's most emblematic signatures.
