Maria Conti – who will report directly to Davide Grasso, CEO of Maserati, and functionally to Jean-Marc Finot, Senior VP, Stellantis Motorsport – has twenty years of specific experience in communications in the automotive and lifestyle sector, at an international level. Previously, she held the role of Chief Communication Officer for the House of the Trident, after a professional career at iconic, premium and luxury brands.
Now, returning from maternity leave, Maria Conti is the first woman to head Maserati's motorsport activities.

The group wanted to thank the outgoing manager, Giovanni Sgro, for having led the Brand's activities in the sports field with great commitment and dedication over the last two years. Sgro had the task of bringing Maserati back to its natural environment, the track, and directed all operations within the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship and the Fanatec GT2 European Series. Giovanni has also followed, from the very first steps, the development and launch of the exclusive Maserati MCXtrema halo car: “I would like to thank Giovanni for the passion with which he supported Maserati’s return to the track,” said Davide Grasso, CEO Maserati, “and for having contributed to making Maserati Corse a reality. We have begun to write an important new page in the 110-year history of our brand, which has returned to where it was born, collecting victories, satisfactions and important results on circuits all over the world. I wish Giovanni all the best for the upcoming professional challenges in which he will be a protagonist. Maria is part of the Maserati Family. I am particularly proud that at this moment a woman is leading the on-track activities for our brand and bringing her expertise, energy and enthusiasm to competitions.”

By 2025, all Maserati models will be available in full electric versions, and by 2028, the entire Maserati range will run exclusively on electric power.
