Featuring exceptional comfort and cutting-edge technology, G90 is a model designed to enhance the premium experience of drivers and passengers. The European version will be available in two lengths: short-wheelbase and long-wheelbase. The short-wheelbase version of the G90 will allow customers to select a four- or five-seat option. From a luxury point of view, the long wheelbase version offers 190 mm of additional legroom for rear seat passengers. The highest level of cutting-edge equipment in the fields of technology, luxury and safety will be standard on all European G90 models.
On the outside, the G90 features a large aluminum clamshell hood and signature dual-line design headlights, the thinnest ever seen on a Genesis model, made possible by Quad MLA (Micro-Lens-Array) technology for the low-beam units. The bold Crest grille, composed of two G-Matrix patterns overlapping to create a three-dimensional effect, joins the headlights to form Genesis' signature winged emblem.
Genesis designed its flagship G90 with an exceptional level of equipment and standard features to present a truly “all-in” experience. Customers can simply personalize their selected models with a handful of simple options: four-seat G90 or long-wheelbase four-seat G90 variants, ten exterior colors, five interior colors and six interior decorations.
The equipment of both variants includes a state-of-the-art 6-litre turbo petrol V3,5 and a 48V electric supercharger capable of delivering greater power and superior responsiveness. With a total power of 305 kW and torque of 549 Nm, the G90 engine is combined with a beautifully designed eight-speed automatic transmission and sophisticated all-wheel drive, which work in harmony to ensure unparalleled driving fluidity. Thanks to the “shift-by-wire” selector, positioned so that the driver can easily take control, the G90 offers a smooth gear transition.
Genesis engineers have in fact carried out careful tuning work on European roads to meet the needs of European customers, ensuring the G90 has an extraordinarily smooth ride thanks to the air suspension with three-mode multiple chambers and the electronically controlled suspension with Road Preview which use video cameras positioned in the direction of travel to scan the road surface. Furthermore, the rear-wheel steering improves maneuverability at low speeds while also increasing stability at higher speeds.
The G90 pays particular attention to the comfort and well-being of rear seat passengers. Both versions boast a fascinating range of technology and comfort features dedicated to the second row, including Ergo Motion seats and footrests with heating, cooling and massage functions, a pair of 10,2-inch touchscreens with independent Bluetooth and an 8-inch touch screen at the armrest to manage climate modes, seat position, massage settings, sunshade position and ambient lighting.
Among the new features of G90, genesis presented a series of unique features, such as the "Mood Curator" on-board fragrance system and the compartment for disinfection with UV-C light. You can see the use of premium materials throughout, including the brand new and sustainable Newspaper Crown wood essence and the Newspaper Stripe wood finish obtained from recycled waste paper.
The G90's equipment includes a 23-speaker Bang & Olufsen system designed to integrate perfectly into the interior as well as offering exceptional audio quality. For front passengers, Genesis' so-called “Connected Car Integrated Cockpit” combines a 12,3-inch instrument cluster and an eye-catching 12,3-inch panoramic display for infotainment. As with other Genesis models, the G90 features fingerprint authentication to access personalized settings for seat position, phone contacts, navigation points and even speaker volume.
Finally, the G90 includes a series of cutting-edge safety features, including Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (frontal collision avoidance assistance system), central side airbag in the front, Blind Spot View Monitor (blind spot monitoring ), Smart Cruise Control with machine learning, Rear Blind-Spot Collision Avoidance Assist, Surround View Monitor and Lane-Change Oncoming (lane change approach).
