The Temerario sets a new benchmark in the super sports car segment, thanks to its truly world-class performance. The new hybrid powertrain combines a brand-new twin-turbo V8 engine with three electric motors, for a total power output of 920 hp. The twin-turbo V8 was designed and developed from scratch in Sant'Agata Bolognese: the first and only engine in the production super sports car category capable of reaching 10.000 rpm, it gives the driver the sensation of unlimited progression. Performance is truly remarkable: a top speed of over 340 km/h, and a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of just 2,7 seconds.
With Lamborghini Daredevil It also reaches new heights in terms of aerodynamic efficiency, combined with lines and stylistic details that represent a further milestone in the brand's design. The aluminum frame is also completely new, which thanks to the use of a latest-generation high-strength and ultra-light alloy, significantly increases torsional rigidity, contributing to excellent driving dynamics.
The chassis also responds to the need to offer optimal on-board comfort, increasing habitability and making the Temerario a super sports car that expresses its maximum potential on the track, but which offers more space for passengers and luggage than any other car in the segment.
The heart of a Lamborghini has always been its propulsion system. With the Temerario, a completely new approach has been adopted, which, after years of development, has resulted in an unprecedented powertrain, featuring a high-revving twin-turbo V8, similar to that found in racing cars, paired with three electric motors.
The new powertrain achieves the highest possible specific power and torque values while offering the response of a naturally aspirated engine at high rpm. To this end, only components capable of guaranteeing the highest specific power outputs have been used: the new 4-liter twin-turbo V8, with a power output of 200 hp per liter, works together with an oil-cooled, axial-flow electric motor coupled to the V8 and two electric motors on the front axle. This new engine reaches a peak power of 800 hp between 9.000 and 9.750 rpm and 730 Nm of torque between 4.000 and 7.000 rpm. The electric motor in the P1 position (therefore positioned between the V8 and the gearbox) ensures immediate response even at low revs, with a constant crescendo during gear changes, providing extra torque to bridge turbo lag and offering linear, unlimited progression up to 10.000 rpm. The two large turbochargers increase efficiency and performance at top speeds.
With Temerario, Lamborghini ushers in a new dimension of sound experience, offering unique and unmistakable emotions. Thanks to the new twin-turbo V8, the amplitude and frequency of the sound increase as the engine speed increases, and thanks to the flat driveshaft, the vibrations emphasize the vehicle's power. For driver and co-driver, it's an incredible experience, stimulating all the senses. The driver is intoxicated by the power of the new Lamborghini sound.
With Temerario, the Lamborghini Centro Stile launches a new design manifesto, contextualizing iconic elements that have contributed to the brand's fame, creating a harmonious blend of form and function. At first glance, Temerario is a puristic and futuristic super sports car, characterized by sharp lines that emphasize proportions and dynamism. It also offers an exclusive view of the new twin-turbo V8 engine, the heart of the car and an innovative source of performance.
The Temerario's lines recall those of Lamborghini's mid-engined super sports cars, but its new proportions also pave the way for the brand's future design. Its style is characterized by purity and minimalism, with sharp yet instantly recognizable lines.
Already at first glance the Temerario is characterized by the typical Lamborghini silhouette: pure and minimal lines, narrow overhangs, large air intakes and a bold, reckless, shark-like nose. The evolution of Lamborghini's design language has led to the creation of a new, immediately recognizable hexagonal light signature. The hexagon is the main theme in the design of the Temerario and is recalled on the bodywork and above all in the rear lights and in the imposing exhaust terminal.
