At the Conza Pavilion in Lugano, the eleventh annual gala dinner organized by the Golden Wings Club of the Hockey Club Lugano and the HC Lugano Academy Foundation—which supports the HCL Youth Section—attracted over three hundred attendees, including representatives of federal, cantonal, and municipal institutions, business and financial figures, sponsors, and supporters of the club.
A record result for the HCL Youth Section
The key figure for the 2026 edition is the proceeds: over 135,000 francs net, a figure described by the organizers as a record result. The entire proceeds will go to the HCL Youth Section, the ultimate beneficiary of the initiative.
The funds raised will support the activities of the Juventus youth team, contributing not only to sporting activities but also to the development of young athletes, both academically and professionally.
The auction and lottery are at the heart of the fundraising campaign.
Among the evening's highlights was the charity auction, hosted by Laura Barriales and Nicolò Casolini, which engaged the audience with pace and participation. Up for grabs were high-profile items and experiences: from fine timepieces, including a Franck Muller Cintrée Curvex, to specially created artworks, and even exclusive experiences like tickets to the Mugello Moto GP.
Alongside the auction, the traditional lottery also contributed significantly to the final result, thanks to the collaboration of numerous local companies that provided valuable prizes.
The educational role of sport
During the evening, the presence of young athletes from the U16 and U18 teams represented a symbolic yet tangible sign of the initiative's impact. Their participation offered direct testimony to the educational value of team sports, highlighting hockey's role as a tool for personal and social growth.
The foundation's commitment
The HC Lugano Academy Foundation continues to operate with the goal of financially supporting the club's youth sector, promoting access to sport and accompanying young people along a path that integrates athletic activity and education.
The result achieved in 2026 reinforces the centrality of this commitment and confirms the region's sensitivity to initiatives aimed at new generations.
