From 29 September to 1 October, Lugano is preparing to celebrate the arrival of autumn with its traditional Autumn Festival. This event offers a wide range of dining and entertainment experiences for the whole family. Visitors will have the opportunity to delight their palate with the typical flavors of local cuisine and to discover a selection of Ticino wines thanks to the numerous grottini and restaurants scattered around the city centre.

Furthermore, the autumn market will offer local craft products and seasonal delights, while the Patio of the Town Hall will host "PatriziAmo", a space dedicated to the Patriciates of Lugano, who will present themselves with a variety of activities. This year, a special novelty will be the parade of vintage tractors along the lakeside of Lugano on 1st October.

The party will be accompanied by traditional music from folk groups, which will create a unique atmosphere in the city center. In collaboration with Lugano Region, free guided tours will be organized to explore the city and admire its architectural and landscape beauties. For the little ones, Ludobus will offer a space dedicated to wooden games.

Robert Badaracco, deputy mayor and Head of the Culture, Sport and Events Department of the City of Lugano, commented: “The Autumn Festival is a celebration rooted in the history and culture of our region, an occasion in which the traditions of the past merge with the the energy of the present. This festival has its roots far back in time, but its vital spirit and its ability to adapt have led it to become a modern event, capable of enhancing the rich food and wine tradition of our region. Local products and producers are the undisputed protagonists, giving visitors an authentic tasting of the flavors of the area. But the Autumn Festival is much more than an opportunity to delight the palate. The entertainment offering is vast and engaging, thanks to the active participation of numerous local companies and associations. This framework makes the event a complete experience, capable of satisfying the expectations of both residents and tourists who every year choose to join us in this celebration, joining their voices to the laughter, flavors and melodies that fill the streets and squares of the city centre".

The official inauguration will be held on September 29th in Piazza della Riforma at 17pm, with the participation of the local authorities, the Lugano Volunteer Corps and Julie Arlin, who will present the event's activities.

The Autumn Festival is organized by the Events and Congresses Division of the City of Lugano, in collaboration with AIL and Lugano Region. It is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in local culture and tradition while enjoying the charm of autumn in picturesque Lugano.
