Founded in 2014 under the motto "More music, more young people, more culture" by cellist Silvia Longauerová, active for more than 15 years in the area, it aims to create new spaces for the dissemination of classical music and art in all its expressions. as elements of single and collective growth, bringing together not only an audience of connoisseurs but also of neophytes, curious and eager to discover and be surprised. Silvia Longauerová was born in 1978 in Bratislava. She starts playing the cello at the age of 6. She graduates from the Bratislava Conservatory (prof. Juraj Fazekas) with full marks, where she continues her studies at the University of Music in the concert class of Jan Slavik, member of the Moyzes Quartet. Later she perfected for 5 years with Robert Cohen at the Conservatory of Italian Switzerland thanks to a scholarship from the Lyra Stiftung foundation in Zurich. During your professional activity in the Slovak Republic you collaborate with the Bratislava Chamber Orchestra and the Capella Istropetere. Since 2008 she has been principal cello in the Lugano Chamber Orchestra and is active as a teacher in Locarno, Lugano and Bellinzona, where she follows her students with the aim of transmitting pleasure and passion.
The 2016 program offers some appointments of absolute quality. It begins on Saturday 15 October 2016, in the Collegio Papio Church in Ascona, with Star Wars, American composers of the twentieth century, with the Lugano Chamber Orchestra, conductor Stefano Bazzi. On the program, Philip Glass's Concerto for violin and orchestra n. 1, soloist Luisa Moraru and John Williams, Star Wars Suite. On Sunday 16 October, at the Giardino Hotel Ascona, Cello Journey, Tony Woollard's cello recital. The following week, Saturday 23 October Piano Trio at the Epper Foundation in Ascona, music by Ludwig van Beethoven and Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, with Leonard Simaku on the violin, Silvia Longauerová on the cello and Matteo Sarti on the piano. Finally, Sunday 23 October, the Magic Flute by WA Mozart is staged at the Teatro del Gatto, a show by the Habanera Theater for eight puppets, for children and adults, with Patrizia Ascione Papageno as animator, Ilaria Gozzini and Stefano Cavallini.
