In the heart of summer, the Lugano LongLake Festival is preparing to host one of its most prestigious cultural events: the Estival Jazz.
This year, the 44th edition of the festival promises to be an extraordinary experience, with the addition of two internationally renowned names to its already impressive line up. Diodato, the award-winning Italian singer-songwriter, and Cory Henry, the keyboard genius from the United States, will perform on two different evenings to enchant the audience with their exceptional musical performances.
The festival will open on July 11th in the enchanting setting of Parco Ciani, where Diodato will take the stage for an unforgettable evening. Recently acclaimed with the prestigious David di Donatello Award for his song "La mia terra," featured on the soundtrack to the film "Palazzina Laf," Diodato brings a wealth of experience and successes that make him one of the most beloved and respected singer-songwriters on the Italian music scene. On July 13th, Piazza della Riforma will be the stage for Cory Henry, keyboard virtuoso and multi-instrumentalist. His innovative and cutting-edge music, which mixes elements of funk, R&B and jazz, has made him a leading figure in the contemporary music scene. Winner of numerous awards, including a 2022 Latin Grammy for Album of the Year for his work with Rosalía, Cory Henry is an artist who continues to amaze and inspire with his boundless creativity.
Estival Jazz 2024 is curated with passion and dedication by Jacky Marti and Filippo Corbella, two leading figures in the Swiss music scene. With the likes of Tom Walker, Gary Clark Jr., Diodato, Chiara Dubey and Cory Henry & The Funk Apostles already confirmed, the anticipation for the event's full program is palpable.
