The day after tomorrow – Thursday 3 October 2024 – Villa Negroni in Vezia will host the first edition of the “Work Management Day”, organized by the Swiss Work Management Organization (OSDL), Italian-speaking Switzerland section. This event is aimed at professionals active in the construction sector in Ticino, with the aim of responding to the growing need for updating and specialization in the field of work management.
The initiative stems from the awareness that the construction sector, including civil engineering and renovations, is constantly evolving. Construction techniques, materials and regulations are rapidly changing, requiring construction managers to constantly update themselves to remain competitive. The “Construction Management Day” aims to be a response to these new challenges, providing participants with a learning platform and an opportunity to exchange experiences with colleagues and industry experts.
Construction Management Day: many events in one appointment
The day's program includes a series of presentations and practical workshops, which will address various aspects related to construction management and site management. Innovative topics will be discussed such as the use of new materials, environmental sustainability, and the legal implications of new regulations. In particular, attention to sustainability represents one of the central aspects of the event, given the growing commitment of the construction sector towards reducing environmental impact.
Another crucial moment of the day will be the final round table, in which the role of the construction manager as a “problem solver” will be discussed, that is, the key figure capable of managing the daily problems that may arise on a construction site, proposing effective and timely solutions.
Networking and professional development
In addition to the educational content, the event will offer a valuable networking opportunity for industry professionals. The presence of established experts, including engineers, architects and legal consultants, will encourage discussion and sharing of best practices, promoting the exchange of ideas and the transfer of knowledge among participants.
Among the main objectives of the meeting there is also the promotion of continuous training and professional development. Construction management is a discipline that requires constant updates, not only at a technical level, but also at a regulatory level. The event will therefore be an opportunity to acquire tools and skills useful for facing daily challenges on construction sites, improving operational efficiency and the quality of the works carried out.
How to register for Construction Management Day 2024
The “Works Management Day” is open to all professionals in the construction sector interested in participating. Registration is already open and can be done directly online on the official website of the event: giornodl.ch. Due to the interactive nature of the event and the presence of practical workshops, places are limited, and it is therefore advisable to register as soon as possible.
With this first edition, the OSDL intends to underline the importance of continuous learning and updating in the construction management sector. In a sector characterized by continuous technological and regulatory transformations, events like this offer Ticino professionals the opportunity to improve their skills and face the challenges that the future of construction poses with greater confidence.
