The “Range Rover Summer Night”, last September 11, brought many, many people to the Jaguar Land Rover showroom of Emil Frey in Noranco. The initiative, in addition to standing out for the elegance of the organization and the guests, had a noble goal: to raise funds for the businesses of the Alta Vallemaggia and Mesolcina, severely affected by the flood that devastated the region in June 2024.
A shared commitment between institutions and businesses
During the evening, Andrea Gehri, President of the Chamber of Commerce , Industry, Crafts and Services of the Canton of Ticino (CC-Ti), highlighted the crucial role of collaboration between private businesses and public institutions in ensuring a rapid economic recovery in the affected areas. "Solidarity between sectors is essential," Gehri stated, adding that events like this can provide a concrete boost to support businesses struggling in the wake of the natural disaster.
Godmother of the event, Sara Bellini, a well-known presenter, who was able to keep the spirit of participation and sensitivity of the public high, managing to convey the importance of the cause.
The charity auction and fundraising: 8 francs for the recovery
The highlight of the evening was the charity auction, during which 8 francs were raised. This contribution will go to the support fund set up jointly by the Cc-Ti, the Ticino Industries Association (AITI) and the Swiss Union of Arts and Crafts (USAM), aimed at supporting the economic activities of the two Ticino valleys.
Emil Frey and the support to local realities
Roberto Pesare, director of Emil Frey in Noranco, wanted to reiterate the importance of supporting the economic realities of the territory in times of crisis. “Already during the Covid-19 pandemic, we participated in the #ilticinononsiferma initiative to support the restaurant sector. Today, we are once again on the front line to help the companies of Alta Vallemaggia and Mesolcina, hit by another emergency,” said Pesare, underlining how corporate social responsibility can make a difference.
Range Rover Summer Night: an example of synergy between private and public
The Range Rover Summer Night has shown, once again, how cooperation between companies, institutions and citizens can produce concrete results. Events like this not only raise public awareness, but also represent a real opportunity to intervene directly and provide targeted aid.
