The Ticino wine world will meet again this year in Lugano for Wines in the villa, the event that brings to Villa Ciani a mosaic of stories, techniques and interpretations of the territory. The 2025 edition, scheduled for 28 and 29 November, will bring together over forty producers and more than two hundred labels, marking a new chapter for an event that has now become a reference point for enthusiasts and operators.
The context: a viticulture that is transforming
The event, promoted by Ticinowine, will offer visitors a journey through the great Merlot DOCs, innovative winemaking techniques, and new production approaches that are reshaping the canton's winemaking landscape. The choice of venue, Villa Ciani, is no coincidence: its bright spaces and proximity to the city center make it an ideal place for a direct encounter with those who create, interpret, and bring wine to market every day.
Ivan Trezzini, director of Ticinowine, calls the event "a moment that truly brings the public closer to the producers," emphasizing how Ticino wine is experiencing a "balance between tradition and new visions." This trend is reflected in the tastings offered, including organic wines, experimental "orange" wines, Piwi, classic method sparkling wines, and micro-productions often unobtainable outside the cellars.
