We consider ourselves, first and foremost, custodians of the land, and our role is to allow the vineyards to express themselves as clearly and authentically as possible. The hillside vineyards of Napa Valley, with their geological complexity and diverse exposures, naturally yield wines with structure, tension, and great aging potential.
As with the world's great wines, we believe our wines should be an expression of place rather than an imposed winemaking style. The diversity of soils and altitudes of our hillside vineyards has always been a distinctive feature of Colgin and remains central to the identity and character of our wines.

My great-grandmother emigrated from Ticino to the United States, and her story has always had a profound impact on me. Like many immigrants, she was enterprising, tireless, and deeply determined to build something meaningful through hard work and perseverance.
This spirit also guides my approach to leadership at Colgin Cellars. We place great value on hard work, humility, and discipline, while also not forgetting the importance of enjoying life, relationships, and the satisfaction that comes from creating something truly beautiful. Wine, ultimately, is a balance between rigor and pleasure.
