Tourism professionalsA symbolic return to the 1990s to look with greater awareness at the challenges of the present. This is the spirit of Back ('n' Forth) to the 90s, the event scheduled for Thursday 5 March 2026 starting from 18.30 pm to Ciossetto Center, which aims to bring together students, graduates and tourism professionals active in the Ticino region.

The initiative was born within the Higher Specialized School of Hotel and Tourism Management (SSSAT) and is promoted by theADSSSAT, which entrusted the organization to the ST3B class, tourism section. This collaboration brings together different generations, united by a shared educational and professional background in hospitality and tourism management.

The event is intended to be a fun evening with a clear professional focus. The setting explicitly recalls the aesthetics and imagery of the "magical" '90s: bright colors, musical references, and themed games will accompany participants on a journey back in time. A journey that begins with nostalgia and gradually reaches the present day, without losing sight of the main objective: to foster encounters and exchanges between tourism professionals, students, and industry professionals.

The program begins with a convivial moment dedicated to gastronomy, followed by a team game designed to encourage collaboration and mutual understanding. The closing event will feature a DJ set that will play iconic hits from across the decades, symbolically returning, year after year, to 2026.

The value of the initiative is also underscored by the involvement of the partners. During the evening, a welcome speech will be given, highlighting the values of the association, the school, and the role of the main partner. BPS Switzerland, together with the sponsors who support the project.

"We want to create value for our community and our members," explains Marco Valmici, president of ADSSSAT. "This evening is an opportunity for informal networking, to exchange ideas among professionals of different ages, and to strengthen the sense of belonging to our school, while having fun."

The event is open to students, SSSAT graduates, and tourism professionals. To fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere, a '90s-inspired dress code is suggested, though not mandatory. Registration is required and can be done via the dedicated link on Eventfrog.
