The history of the city of Solothurn is indelibly linked to the number 11 (Öufi) and it is amazing how often this double figure occurs in the buildings and culture of the city.

Guided tours in Italian
For summer 2022 Solothurn Tourismus is organizing some guided tours of the historic center open to the Italian-speaking public.
The visits take place on Saturdays on the following dates: 25 June, 30 July, 20 August, 17 September 2022, starting at 14 pm and lasting 30–60 minutes. During this initiative, all Italian-speaking visitors and guests will receive information and historical notions on the most beautiful Baroque city in Switzerland. Discovering Solothurn is a unique experience and during the guided tour the city of Ambassadors will no longer remain a secret. There will also be the possibility to take advantage of a special discount, through compulsory registration online or to the Tourist Office and writing the Promocode to take advantage of the offer: Solothurn! 2022
Baroque Days 2022
2022 will also be the perfect setting for the Solothurn Baroque Days. From 13 to 21 August 2022 the baroque culture festival will live its second edition. Once again, the Baroque world will be experienced in and around Solothurn in all possible forms and with all senses! Most places in the Old Town can be easily reached on foot in less than ten minutes, and many places outside the Old Town, such as Jegenstorf Castle and Thunstetten Castle, can also be reached by public transport from Solothurn Station. Solothurn Baroque Days promise not only historical experiences but also hear funny stories and enjoy delicious dishes.
The initiative is particularly versatile: panoramic visits, conferences, shows, workshops and games, as well as music, baroque life, gastronomy, guided tours and a children's program.
