The Locarno Film Festival, which offered the first screenings of some of the most interesting international films, ended a few weeks ago. But one of the best “first screenings” was, with its splendid new wellness, the Hotel Belvedere in Locarno, the exclusive Partner Hotel of the Locarno film event.
The hotel, located on the hill above Piazza Grande, has been maintaining a strong partnership with the Pardo for years and inaugurated, last July 5th, Oasi Belvedere Spa. Wellness. Beauty: much more than a modern and renovated wellness centre, but a true refuge of serenity to escape, even just for an afternoon, from the routine and stress of everyday life, as the actors and directors hosted during the days of the Locarno Film Festival were able to appreciate.
"We wanted to create spaces that meet the needs of each guest, both those who come with their family for several days and those who, instead, stay for a shorter time, but still need a corner where they can relax for a few hours in total serenity", explains Patricia Lissi.
A structure, that of the new Oasi Belvedere, which boasts 800 m2 distributed over 2 floors, with an area entirely reserved for adults, with various saunas, Kneipp path, frigidarium and relaxation rooms. "The challenge was to keep the charm of a historic hotel intact while creating efficient spaces with cutting-edge equipment, capable of satisfying the needs of a modern clientele" continues Lissi. "We wanted to maintain harmony with the surrounding landscape, characterized by an unparalleled view of the Locarno mountains and the lake and a large outdoor area of 1 m2 surrounded by flowers and Mediterranean plants: for this reason we have enhanced the swimming pool, which has an external basin and hydromassage, a play area and the characteristic summer bistro Grotto al Sasso, with typical local specialties and with access also to our four-legged friends. Thus reinforcing the vision of a true oasis with a Ticino atmosphere».
An atmosphere to which the qualified staff also contributes, as Patricia Lissi emphasizes: «As functional as a structure may be, people are the secret of the magic that is created at Oasi Belvedere. And in our structure we can boast a team of great professionals, able to offer guests a rich program of wellness, regenerating and energetic activities, with individual and group lessons in Yoga, Pilates, Yolatis and Meditation with crystals. And they are always available to give the best advice on a wide range of treatments and massages».
Although the high season is coming to an end, the activities of the Oasi Belvedere will not decrease. All the modern facilities of the Hotel Belvedere Locarno, such as the multifunctional rooms of the events and banqueting sector, which can accommodate up to 300 people, or the restaurant La Fontana, are aimed at enhancing the activities that can be done even in the low season. And the new Spa also falls within this philosophy, considering the changes in current tourism, with a significant percentage of foreign tourists who want to enjoy the Mediterranean influence that can be felt in the Sonnenstube even outside the summer months.
