With the start of the 2026 spring season, theCaviano Alps is preparing to reopen to the public under new management, marking a further step in the territorial project of theDiffused Hotel Monte GenerosoThe facility, located on the slopes of Monte Generoso and inaugurated in the fall of 2024, includes a restaurant, several rooms, and a dormitory, becoming one of the five hubs of the initiative dedicated to widespread hospitality.

The change was promoted by the Patriziato of Castel San Pietro, the property's owner, who entrusted its management to Nadia Vanini and Vlastimil Ferko, selected for their professional backgrounds in tourism, catering, and Alpine experience.

The Caviano Alps It is part of the Albergo Diffuso Monte Generoso network, a model that aims to enhance the landscape and cultural heritage of the Mendrisiotto region through a system of coordinated facilities. Originally from the Muggio Valley, Nadia Vanini has a background in tourism and gained experience in hotels and mountain huts. Her career path is distinguished by a particular focus on hospitality in mountain settings and a growing interest in the world of wine: she is currently training with the Swiss Association of Professional Sommeliers.

Alongside her, Vlastimil Ferko brings a career spanning over 17 years in the hospitality industry. After starting out organizing cultural events and providing catering services, he moved towards professional cuisine, working in the Czech Republic, Austria, and Switzerland. His culinary offerings are based on technique, seasonality, and respect for tradition.

The stated goal is to create a menu that showcases Ticino producers and artisans, integrating wines from small producers, craft beers, and homemade dishes.
