Hidden in the heart of Porta Romana, precisely in via Tiraboschi 5, there is a jewel of Milanese catering: Particolare Milano. Founded by a trio of partners who shared a passion for cooking – chef Andrea Cutillo and maître d' and sommelier Luca Beretta – this restaurant quickly gained a reputation as one of the most welcoming and refined places in the city. With an environment that feels like a little secret paradise and a cuisine that celebrates Mediterranean flavors, Particolare Milano is the ideal choice for those seeking a unique culinary experience.
The vision behind Particolare Milano
The name of the restaurant, Particolare Milano, is not accidental. It reflects the philosophy of its founders: sometimes it is precisely one detail that makes the difference. The goal is to create a place where every guest can feel at home, whether they come for a cocktail, dinner, or a post-work aperitif. With 26 seats inside and around 40 in the outdoor garden, surrounded by over 100 square meters of greenery, the restaurant offers a quiet and relaxing refuge, embellished with plants and dreamy lights.
Andrea Cutillo's cuisine
At the helm of the kitchen at Particolare Milano is chef Andrea Cutillo, whose creative and Mediterranean approach is clearly evident in the dishes served. His cuisine is based on a careful selection of small Italian producers, with a strong commitment to ethical breeding and a clean supply chain. The dishes are concrete and substantial, avoiding flights of fancy but without ever giving up the surprise effect. Among the proposals on the menu there are numerous raw dishes, Spanish influences in the choice of the finest meats and ideas from Asia.
The wine list and the philosophy of drinking
The wine list, curated by sommelier Luca Beretta, is a journey through Italy, with a wide selection that favors small producers and large companies in the national territory. The variety of bubbles and native vines makes the menu complete and capable of satisfying even the most demanding palates. The offer of wines by the glass changes weekly, always guaranteeing new discoveries for guests. Furthermore, the restaurant is totally plastic free, with recyclable towels in the bathrooms and a strong commitment to fighting waste and energy saving, thanks to the electricity supplier Lifegate.
The design: homage to the 50s and 60s
The design of Particolare Milano is a tribute to the elegance of the 50s and 60s, curated by architects Rodolfo Sormani, Alessandro Tonassi and Matteo Ranghetti. Every detail has been carefully designed, from the mirrored perspectives to the diamond textures, from the color combinations to the lines of the furnishings. The golden lamps and porcelain stoneware coverings, which reproduce a worn carpet, create a warm and familiar environment. Anthracite gray and raw concrete are the predominant colours, while the gold color in the furnishing elements adds a touch of brightness and preciousness.
A place out of time
Milan is a particular place out of time, where love for the tradition of Milanese design combines with the freshness of the contemporary. Here, guests can enjoy a unique atmosphere while savoring delicious dishes and carefully selected wines. As Gio Ponti said in “Love Architecture”: “Love architecture for the fantastic, adventurous and solemn things it created – it invented – with its abstract, allusive and figurative forms that enchant our spirit and captivate our thoughts , scenario and help of our life".
