The Alpine Horn Association of Italian-speaking Switzerland, Alpine Horn Association of Italian Switzerland, is preparing to celebrate its anniversary with a day of events spread across various locations in Ticino. The event is scheduled for Saturday, May 30, 2026, with a program that will combine musical performances, educational sessions, and opportunities for the general public to meet.
The event, titled "ACASI in Festa," represents not only a symbolic milestone for the association, but also an opportunity to introduce the public to the world of the alphorn, an instrument deeply rooted in Swiss mountain culture and its musical traditions.

Simultaneous concerts between Bellinzona, Locarno, and Mendrisio
The day will begin in the morning with a series of concerts spread across various cities in the Canton. The performances will involve Bellinzona, Locarno e Mendrisio, creating a travelling musical journey dedicated to the sounds of the Alpine horn.
The various stages will be led by the groups Nüm dal Corno, Cör e Corni, and Corni del Generus, groups actively involved in the dissemination of this traditional repertoire and the promotion of Alpine music in Italian-speaking Switzerland. The performances will take place in spaces accessible to the public, with the aim of engaging both enthusiasts and those who are new to this musical universe.
The central concert of the afternoon
The main event is scheduled for 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM with “ACASI in Concerto,” an event that will bring together musicians and audiences for a large-scale collective performance.
The concert will be conducted by Marco Fässler e Mario BozziniThe program also includes the song Acasi in Festa, composed specifically by Bozzini to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the association.
Among the expected guests there will also be musicians from Quatuor Dacor, ensemble from Neuchâtel, who will contribute to the artistic part of the day with a special presence dedicated to the alphorn repertoire.
Workshops, demonstrations and activities for the public
In addition to the concerts, the program will also include several opportunities for entertainment and discovery. Throughout the afternoon, audiences will be able to observe alphorn-making techniques up close, watch practical demonstrations, and try their hand at the instrument.
The aim of the initiative is to create direct contact between musicians and visitors, highlighting not only the musical aspects but also the artisanal and cultural aspects associated with this tradition.

Final evening at the Conza Pavilion in Lugano
The celebrations will continue in the evening at Lugano, Conza Pavilion, where at 19.30 pm the Quatuor Dacor concert will be held followed by the gala dinner organised for the tenth anniversary.
Organizers note that there are still a few spots available for the evening, although bookings are filling up quickly. The participation fee is 30 francs per person and includes both dinner and the closing concert.
