Ein Traumgedicht (A Dream in the Form of an Artwork ) is the title of Maurizio Barberis's exhibition taking place in the Garden of the Palazzo Salis Hotel in Soglio. The Milanese artist's site-specific installation explores the relationship between the natural setting and dreams, between the landscape and the dreamlike world it represents.
There are two moments identified by the author and they coincide with two topical places in the building: the garden and the little house next to the centuries-old sequoia, forming a single "project" site.
Photographic images, small terracotta sculptures, paintings and drawings create a unicum between the place and the poetics of the artist who declares "the experience at Palazzo Solis has a double value for me: the relationship with nature, marked by the magnificent garden and from the majesty of the landscape and the history of the hotel and of those who lived there, including Rainer Maria Rilke and Giovanni Segantini ”.
The exhibition, curated by Carlo Biasia and Benedetta Scarella for HoperAperta, is in collaboration with Palazzo Salis and is part of the 2022 edition of the Biennale di Bregaglia.
