After the great success in Pietrasanta during the course of last spring, where the charm, poetry and irony of Rinaldo Bigi were welcomed with an impressive monographic exhibition dedicated to him, a careful selection of his works, especially paintings and some interior sculptures will be exhibited in Lugano from March 16 until the end of June. The selected works, magnificent testimonies to his mastery of a wide range of techniques, draw the visitor into the depths of the dreamlike and ironic world that master Rinaldo Bigi has always narrated through characters, objects, stories, and unexpected and fantastical environments.  His large canvases and papers executed in oil and pastels are conceived as a theatre of shapes, colours and figures playing with fantastic apparitions. Although he had been painting for a long time and with continuity, Bigi's plastic works were above all known. Works in marble and bronze among the most representative of his land. Pietrasanta, in the Apuan-Versilian context, is in fact a place where masters from all geographical and cultural latitudes of the world converge, reside and work. Bigi sculptor has always had a special bond with color and the surface plane, although he does not paint on the edge but certainly in a reserved way with respect to sculpture. Indeed, as painting has grown independently in its creative laboratory, it has ended up passing through the sculpture itself by osmosis. Bigi can today be said to participate, with his own identifiable voice, in the major trend of the modern tradition of painters / sculptors and, less represented, of sculptors / painters. The opening night of the Lugano exhibition will also be an opportunity to announce the launch of a major project aimed at creating a General Archive of all the artist's works, which will be located in Pietrasanta. An ambitious choral effort designed to guarantee over time not only the memory, traceability and documentation of all the work of Rinaldo Bigi starting from the end of the 60s, but also to pass on to future generations, through events, testimonies and writings , a unique heritage and a culture that belong to an entire territory. From the beginning of April, the Malpensa Space, at the Soglia Magica and the Vip Rooms, will then host an exhibition of the works of Alessandro Busci, painter and architect, who lives and works in Milan. Graduated from the Milan Polytechnic, the artist investigates the potential of the exchange between western and eastern iconographic traditions and his production stands out for the strong value of the sign, pictorial and calligraphic, made on unconventional supports such as worked steel, copper and aluminum with acids and enamels or on the more traditional paper. He began exhibiting in 1996 at the 36th edition of the Suzzara Prize and his solo shows have been set up in Milan, Rome, Brescia, Turin, London, Bordeaux, Madrid, Milan, Bilbao, San Francisco and Naples. Of great interest are the cycles of large-format works that tell the story of the spaces of the contemporary city and those dedicated to airport spaces (Airports).  Busci is, after all, a profoundly and sincerely Milanese artist who grew up drawing on the figurative culture of great masters such as Umberto Boccioni and Mario Sironi. As Ada Masoero writes, "Busci's painting fits into a high and deeply rooted tradition of Milanese pictorial culture, but he infuses it with his own highly personal vision. While dynamic and vibrant in his brushstrokes and the chemical-pictorial processes he loves to trigger on the Cor-Ten steel or sheet metal he paints on, it is also inhabited by deserted, nocturnal, and silent construction sites, immersed in the sinister atmospheres generated by those burning or sulphurous skies, which project his clearly recognizable and therefore seemingly realistic views into a visionary dimension located far beyond the 'real'."
