Lugano is preparing to host an unprecedented artistic project: Astro Credy is the first street art work on a building entirely made of glass, a one-of-a-kind initiative promoted by Credinvest. The impressive installation, located in via G. Cattori 14, at the entrance to the city for those coming from the Lugano Sud motorway exit, represents a new point of reference for contemporary art and technological innovation.

The author of this extraordinary work is Yuri Catania, an internationally renowned visual artist and photographer, famous for his ability to merge man, nature and technology. The work, entitled “Astro Credy”, embraces the entire six-story building, extending over a surface of approximately 550 square meters, and embodies a profound dialogue between beauty, progress and sustainability.

Astro Credy's Poetry: A Journey Between Art and Nature

The protagonist of the work is Astro Credy, a symbolic female figure that represents strength, beauty and elegance. Surrounded by a constellation of flowers – peonies, camellias and dahlias – Astro Credy seems to float towards the Moon, evoking the daily challenges we all face. The colors, ranging from intense red to pale pink, reflect values such as energy, determination and kindness, harmoniously intertwining with the feminine essence and the artistic mission of Catania.

Through the use of technology, the work offers an immersive and innovative experience. Spectators can experience a unique interaction thanks to the ArtiVive application, which allows them to view exclusive content simply by framing the building with a smartphone.

Technology and Sustainability: The Role of Nano-tack

One of the most revolutionary aspects of this project is the use of Nano-tack material, supplied by the company Tipack Group SA of Agno. This innovative self-supporting material is applied to the glass using micro nano-suction cups, eliminating the need for glue and ensuring a sustainable approach. The technology not only facilitates application, but is perfectly aligned with the sustainability values promoted by Credinvest and by the artist.

Inauguration and exhibition

The original work by Yuri Catania, a 1,50 x 1,50 metre painting belonging to the Credinvest collection, will be exhibited together with other works from the “Yuri in Wonderland” series during the inauguration, scheduled for 22 January at 16: 00 in Palazzo Credinvest Bank. The exhibition will be open until January 31, on weekdays from 9:00 to 16:00, with the possibility of a guided tour.

The three facades of the building extend in a visual continuum that culminates in an internal room transformed into a colorful garden, an integral part of the work. This site-specific installation represents a further example of Catania's ability to redefine urban spaces through art.

Credinvest and art as a bridge between present and future

Credinvest Bank, the project's promoter, is an independent company based in Lugano and Zurich, specialized in private banking and in offering innovative solutions for institutional clients. The bank places the human being at the center of its mission, promoting initiatives that combine progress, sustainability and corporate culture.

Through this collaboration with Yuri Catania, Credinvest celebrates art as a tool for connecting past and future, nature and technology. An approach that positions Lugano as a cutting-edge center for urban art and creativity.
