Digitalisation represents one of the most relevant and strategic themes for the economic and technological future of Ticino: in this context, Tinext Cloud, a leading Swiss company in Cloud solutions, has collaborated with the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI), AITI Services and the AGIRE Foundation to develop in-depth research on the adoption of digital technologies by local businesses. The results of this survey will be revealed on Tuesday, December 5, at 16.00:XNUMX p.m., in the Auditorium of the Suglio Business Center in Manno, during an event that promises to be an important meeting point between industry experts and company representatives.

A snapshot of Ticino's digitalization

The 2024 edition of the research offers a detailed analysis of the state of progress of Ticino companies in the digital transformation process. The aim is to outline an updated overview of the progress made, highlighting both the opportunities and the challenges that remain open. The data collected shows a heterogeneous picture: while some companies have already integrated Cloud solutions and advanced digital strategies, others are still in the initial stages of this journey.

“Digitalization is not only a complex challenge, but also an opportunity for Ticino to position itself as an innovative and competitive territory at an international level,” said Andrea Barni, Digital Coach of Fondazione AGIRE. According to Barni, the dialogue between companies and suppliers of digital solutions is crucial to accelerate the adoption of new technologies and ensure sustainable transformation.

An event rich in content and discussion

The program includes the presentation of the research results by the SUPSI team, composed of Monica Mendini and Daina Matise Schubiger, of the Management and Entrepreneurship Competence Center (CMI) of the Department of Business Economics, Health and Social Affairs. The day will be enriched by a round table with industry experts: in addition to Matise Schubiger, Andrea Barni and Massimo Baioni, Head of Sales of Tinext Cloud, will participate.

According to Baioni, the analysis conducted represents not only a diagnostic tool, but a concrete guide for planning future strategies: "Thanks to the data collected, companies will be able to identify the key areas in which to invest, increasing their competitiveness and innovation on the market".

Professor and researcher Matise Schubiger also underlined the importance of exchanging experiences between companies: "Every company experiences its own digital journey in a unique way. Sharing good practices and effective strategies helps to overcome difficulties and fully grasp the opportunities offered by Cloud technologies".

A shared vision for the digital future

The message that clearly emerged from the promoters is that the path towards digitalization cannot be undertaken in isolation. A collective vision is needed that involves companies, institutions and technology operators, to create an ecosystem capable of supporting progress and enhancing the potential of the territory.

“Only by promoting a shared digital culture and making new technologies accessible will Ticino be able to establish itself as a hub of innovation and growth,” concluded Barni.

The event on December 5th is therefore configured not only as an opportunity to analyze data and trends, but as a moment of practical and strategic comparison for companies that wish to successfully face the challenges of digital transformation.
