The annual meeting of the Kiwanis Club Mendrisiotto marked a significant step in the life of the association, including the approval of the accounts, the balance of activities and the renewal of the management structure for the new social year 2026-2027. The meeting took place on Friday 12 June at the Institute of Don Guanella Foundation, a choice that confirms a collaboration consolidated over time.

Economic balance sheet and activities in the territory

During the evening, the members reviewed and approved the annual accounts, acknowledging the particularly intense activity in the area of charitable initiatives. Fundraisers and events organized over the past twelve months have raised over 40,000 francs to support families in need and to support projects for children and young people in the Mendrisiotto and Lower Ceresio regions.

The club saw this result as confirmation of its social mission, built through constant commitment and a network of activities involving members and the local community.

Handover of the presidency

The meeting also formalized the club's leadership change. After a year in office, Luca Cimaglia concluded his presidency, assuming the role of Past President. The members thanked him for his work and achievements.

The new presidency has been entrusted to Gabriele Coduri, a well-known figure within the club and appointed to the position again after several years. The transition takes place in a spirit of operational continuity, with the aim of maintaining management stability and strengthening the planning of future initiatives.

Composition of the 2026-2027 Committee

For the 2026-2027 financial year, the club's management structure will be as follows:
President Gabriele Coduri; President Elect Oliver Pasotto; Past President Luca Cimaglia; Treasurer Dario Menaballi; Secretary Alessia Gold; President of the Social Commission Andrea Bricalli; President of the Cultural Commission Carlo Realini; President of the Recreation Commission Giorgio Ortelli; Committee Member Marco Franzini; Chairman Guglielmo Bianchi; BMC Manager Nadia Fontana Lupi; Web & Social Media Manager Vanessa Trapletti.

The composition reflects an organizational continuity that aims to enhance internal skills and distribute roles across multiple operational areas.

A consolidated collaboration with the Don Guanella Foundation

The choice of the venue for the assembly was not accidental. For over ten years the Kiwanis International and, specifically, the Mendrisiotto club collaborates with the Don Guanella Foundation through initiatives and activities aimed at the guests of the Riva San Vitale facility.

The bond has developed over time through events and projects specifically aimed at supporting recreational opportunities and activities for families and youth. This collaboration is part of Kiwanis' broader mission, focused on supporting children and local communities.

Continuity and future goals

With the start of the new financial year, the Kiwanis Club Mendrisiotto renews its commitment to the local community, continuing to promote charitable initiatives, events, and fundraisers. The club's work remains anchored to the founding principles of the Kiwanis movement, which focuses on community service and improving the living conditions of children and youth.

In line with this tradition, the new management team is preparing to consolidate the activities already underway and to develop further projects, maintaining an approach oriented towards continuity and an active presence in the territory.
