The proceeds of the evening were used to realize important projects starting with the Elisa Foundation, Locarno, to ensure help to families of children affected by serious pathologies: financial help, psychological help, school reintegration and home care. And then Casa Santa Elisabetta which offers a roof to mothers in difficulty. And, finally, the Croce Verde a historic welfare institution deeply rooted in the history of the territory and in the hearts of the Ticinese.
The evening was marked by hospitality and conviviality and saw the alternation of excellent culinary proposals prepared by the chefs of the META restaurant, cheered by an enveloping musical background, by the presentation of videos with strong emotional impacts, to finally culminate with the characteristic rhythms of the disco. The presenter of the evening was the beautiful and talented Julie Arline, who once again showed off her elegance and sympathy.
Elisa Association extends heartfelt thanks to the sponsors who made the organization of this Grand Gala possible, to the friendly companies who generously provided the prizes for the lottery, and to all the people who, through their works or donations, facilitate its task every day and stimulate its mission. A special thanks to Alberta Ferretti, who attended this beautiful event in person.
The Elisa Association helps children suffering from serious illnesses, such as leukemia, malignant tumors, AIDS, congenital conditions, diabetes, etc., who require, together with their families, a period of hospitalization in Ticino health facilities but who also need some form of financial help to face the required treatments. While it is true that Ticino generally offers excellent health services and guarantees an excellent level of care, there are still situations of need, both material and spiritual, which not by chance affect people who are already worn out by having to face long and serious illnesses. In fact, there are many problems and difficulties caused by a child's serious illness that remain the responsibility of families and upset their lives because they are outside the areas covered by social insurance. And it is precisely in this perspective that the Elisa Association moves, which for over 25 years has had the opportunity to help hundreds of children and which for the future plans to carry out, with the support of many donors, an even deeper and more widespread action.
