Solidarity enters the kitchen and transforms into a concrete project to support research on Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. It is with this goal in mind that the Splendide Royal in Lugano has announced the organization of a charity dinner scheduled for Monday, June 22, 2026, an evening created to support ASLASI – Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association of Italian-speaking Switzerland.
This initiative represents a first for the historic Lugano hotel, which has decided to directly participate in organizing an event dedicated to raising funds for research and support for ALS patients. The proceeds from the evening will be donated specifically to the Swiss ALS Registry project, a database designed to improve knowledge of the disease and help develop more effective tools for the care and future of those affected, including in Ticino.
To explain the meaning of the initiative is Adele Naldi, which underlines the family's strong personal involvement: "The Splendide has always paid great attention to solidarity, but this initiative has a different meaning, as my family and I have chosen to get personally involved, given the strong emotional connection to this theme. We wish to offer a concrete and heartfelt contribution, drawing inspiration from a person extremely dear to us, who has been an integral part of the Splendide family for many years. The dinner will be built around a four-handed gastronomic journey that will combine two different but complementary professional experiences.
On one side Marco Veneruso, Executive Chef of the Splendide Lugano, on the other Paolo Ambrogio, chef active in thehotel of the same name in ParisThe meeting between the two chefs will give life to a culinary experience conceived not only as a gastronomic experience, but also as a moment to raise awareness about a disease that continues to require attention, scientific research, and concrete support.
During the evening, it will be possible to learn more about the work of ASLASI, the only nonprofit organization operating in Ticino dedicated to supporting people with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and their families. The organization provides support, information, and guidance throughout the region, as well as promoting projects related to research and improving patients' quality of life.
The initiative launched by the Naldi family also aims to engage those who have had a connection with the Splendide Royal over the years, transforming the June 22nd dinner into an opportunity for collective gathering and participation. The appeal is addressed to friends of the hotel and all those who have shared significant moments there, inviting them to take part in an evening that combines conviviality, solidarity, and hope.
