This is the direction taken by the Lugano Lions Club's presentation of a 15,000-franc check, the result of a fundraising effort carried out through an inclusive benefit concert that in recent months involved cultural institutions, social organizations, and numerous supporters.
The award ceremony took place on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at the Sant'Angelo Foundation in Loverciano. The funds will be divided equally between three initiatives that operate in different fields but share the goal of creating opportunities for people through culture, education, and vocational training.
A contribution intended for three projects
The total amount of 15,000 francs was divided into three contributions of 5,000 francs each.
An initial instalment will support LAC Edu and the Drammaturgie per il futuro project , an initiative that aims to develop new educational paths linked to the performing arts and the cultural participation of younger generations.
Another 5,000 francs will be donated to the Sant'Angelo Foundation in Loverciano , which will invest the funds in developing new professional training programs for the hotel industry, thus expanding the employment and qualification opportunities for those involved.
A third of the donation will go to the Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana , which will use the funds to support the Fund for Musical Inclusion, a tool created to promote access to music studies even for those who encounter economic or social obstacles.
The result of the inclusive charity concert
The donation represents the tangible result of the inclusive benefit concert organized by the Lugano Lions Club on March 3, 2026, at the LAC, in collaboration with the LAC itself, the Sant'Angelo di Loverciano Foundation, and the Conservatory of Italian Switzerland.
