For the sixth consecutive year, Colin&Cie renews its commitment to the Sottoceneri Section of the Ticino Red Cross, confirming a collaboration that over the years has supported several projects aimed at the most vulnerable people in the area. The 2026 edition will see the allocation of a contribution of 30 francs for Summer campus, an initiative aimed at children experiencing economic, social, or educational difficulties.
The financing is part of the Social Responsibility Initiative promoted by the independent asset management firm, a program that combines sustainable investments with concrete support for social initiatives in the regions where the company operates.
A donation that looks to the youngest
The symbolic award ceremony took place on August 5th in Lugano. Alexander Pellegrini, partner at Colin&Cie Lugano and the project's patron, presented the check to representatives of the Sottoceneri Section of the Ticino Red Cross, confirming the continuity of a well-established collaboration.
The goal of the funding is to ensure that educational and recreational activities are available during the summer months for children from families with greater difficulties, offering them opportunities for personal growth, socialization, and exploration of the local area.
Summer Campus: Vacations, Inclusion, and Learning
The summer camp is organized by the Insieme Center of Lugano, an extracurricular service with educational support that follows children between the ages of 6 and 12.
Throughout the year, the center offers support with homework, language skills, reading, and writing, while also fostering the development of interpersonal skills and intercultural integration. Many of the participants come from families with limited financial resources, have a history of migration, or require specific educational support.
The Campus therefore represents a natural continuation of this support even during the summer months, a period in which many families encounter greater difficulty in managing their children.
The 2026 edition is dedicated to Ticino professions and traditions.
The 2026 Summer Campus program is built around the discovery of the professions and traditions of the Canton of Ticino.
Through hands-on workshops, sports activities, creative learning, meetings with professionals, and excursions, participants have the opportunity to learn about aspects of local culture, ranging from artisanal crafts to more innovative professions.
The initiative thus aims to foster a greater understanding of the children's environment, fostering curiosity, a spirit of collaboration, and self-confidence. At the same time, transversal skills such as teamwork, active participation, and social inclusion are promoted.
Six years of collaboration in the Sottoceneri
The partnership between Colin&Cie and the Sottoceneri Section of the Ticino Red Cross began in 2020.
Over the past six years, a total of 130 francs have been allocated to social projects in the Canton of Ticino. In addition to the Summer Camp, support has also included Progetto Amico , a service dedicated to people under 65 affected by dementia in the early stages of the disease, supporting them and their families along the way.
The shared goal is to strengthen interventions that have a direct impact on people's quality of life, favoring initiatives with strong local roots.
The Social Responsibility Initiative
The social responsibility initiative was born in 2019 from the collaboration between Colin&Cie and the Swiss Red Cross.
Through the Social Responsibility Fund , the company's clients can invest their assets according to sustainability criteria, while simultaneously contributing to the financing of humanitarian projects.
A portion of the fund's proceeds is allocated to social projects developed in the areas where Colin&Cie operates, with particular attention to the fight against poverty and strengthening healthcare services.
In 2026, 260 francs were distributed to eleven initiatives active in Switzerland, Germany, and Luxembourg. Since the project's launch, regional humanitarian organizations have received a total of approximately 1,4 million francs , with an additional 400 francs going directly to the national headquarters of the Swiss Red Cross in Bern as part of the strategic partnership.
According to data released by Colin&Cie, the fund also recorded a cumulative return of 55% in Swiss francs between April 2019 and June 30, 2026.
Clients and collaborators involved in the selection of projects
One of the distinctive aspects of the initiative concerns the decision-making process.
Every year, Colin&Cie clients participate in a survey that identifies priority projects. Employees are also directly involved: some act as sponsors of the initiatives, following their development through constant contact with the beneficiary organizations.
This model aims to make the use of resources more transparent and to maintain a direct connection between investors, companies and entities operating in the area.
The role of the Ticino Red Cross
The Sottoceneri Section of the Ticino Red Cross is one of the main humanitarian organizations active in the canton.
Thanks to the commitment of approximately 400 collaborators , 300 volunteers , and the support of numerous donors, the association offers assistance, counseling, support, and training services to people of all ages experiencing vulnerable situations.
The work is carried out in coordination with the Swiss Red Cross and other entities in the national humanitarian network, helping to address the social needs present in Ticino.
