An institutional visit aimed at dialogue and exchange between different entities linked by common interests. Today, theAmbassador of Lithuania Darius Semaška he was received in Bellinzona by the President of the Council of State Norman Gobbi, in the context of an official meeting hosted at Palace of the Ursulines.
The meeting, designated as a courtesy visit, provided an opportunity to strengthen institutional ties between Switzerland and Lithuania, but also to explore some of the dynamics of international cooperation. The discussions covered various areas, with particular attention to the diplomatic and trade relations between the two countries.
The Chancellor of the State was also present alongside President Gobbi Arnoldo Coduri and the delegate for external relations Francis QuattriniThe Ticino delegation illustrated to the Lithuanian representative some of the canton's main characteristics, offering an overview of the socioeconomic, political, and cultural situation.
During the meeting, the desire to maintain and develop constructive relations emerged, in a European context where dialogue between institutions is increasingly central. Ticino, due to its geographical location and economic profile, is an attractive interlocutor even for international partners outside the Alpine region.
The Lithuanian Ambassador's visit is part of a broader series of diplomatic meetings that have involved the Canton in recent years, helping to consolidate its role in the Confederation's international relations. It is therefore not only a formal occasion, but also a useful opportunity to foster the exchange of experiences and perspectives between different institutional entities.
