BancaStato officially inaugurated the new branch at Via Girolamo Vegezzi 1 in Lugano, This move is part of the strategy to strengthen the bank's physical network in the area. Located just steps from Piazza Riforma, the branch is now fully operational with branches, ATMs, and dedicated advisory spaces, designed for both traditional and private banking clients.
The opening was accompanied by a public moment on the occasion of theLighting of the Christmas tree in Piazza Riforma, with the branch lobby open in the evening, distribution of chestnuts and a chocolate bar offered in collaboration with the City of Lugano.
Modern spaces after a major renovation
The Via Vegezzi building underwent a renovation completed over the summer. This project is part of a larger project that also includes the ongoing renovation of the Piazza Riforma location. a total investment of approximately four million francs, destined entirely for local companies and suppliers by the end of 2026.
The goal is to offer modern and comfortable spaces that meet the needs of a diverse clientele. The spaces have been designed to integrate traditional banking services, personalized advisory services, and areas dedicated to private banking and external wealth managers.
The strategic value of physical presence
The inauguration represents the fourth physical opening for BancaStato over the course of fifteen years, a choice that confirms the central role of the branches in the institute's identity.
In his speech, Michela Ferrari-Testa, Chairman of the Board of Directors, emphasized how the new building embodies the banking model pursued by the institute: modern, efficient, and open to digital innovation, but always guided by the principle of customer proximity and attention to the human dimension.
The Fabrizio Cieslakiewicz, Chairman of the General Management, highlighted the strategic significance of the new headquarters, reiterating that the physical sales network remains an identifying element of the bank and a fundamental element of its commitment to the Ticino region.
