“Banks and businesses – say the organizers of the Lugano Banking Day – represent two fundamental players in the economic fabric, whose relationship is characterized by strong interdependence and mutual collaboration. The pandemic has further strengthened the link between these two actors: thanks to the important and rapid support offered by banking institutions in a moment of severe crisis due to the blockage of activities, it has been possible to protect the private economy from a possible collapse".
The synergies between these two players and the new challenges that await them in the current geopolitical scenario will be at the center of the third edition of the Lugano Banking Day, which will take place on Thursday 11 May 2023 from 14.00 to 18.00 at the LAC in Lugano.
The event is organized by the Ticino Banking Association (ABT) in collaboration with the Department of Finance and Economy of the Canton Ticino (DFE). The interventions of keynote speakers and panelists will allow to address the relationship between finance and entrepreneurship through the point of view of family-run companies and banks, some of which are listed on the stock exchange, active both globally and locally.

Albert Petruzzellathe State Councilor Christian Vitta and the National Councilor and President of the Swiss Arts and Crafts Union (USAM) Fabio Regazzi.
Speakers able to explore financial and entrepreneurial topics with an eye to the transformations taking place in our Canton.
The Lugano Banking Day will continue with a round table which will be attended by figures of high national and international standing active in the banking and industrial world: Vittorio Cornaro, CEO of Cornèr Banca, Lukas Gähwiler, Vice Chairman of UBS Group, Hansueli Loosli, Chairman Pilatus AG and Ermenegildo Zegna, CEO Zegna Group.
