Why did you decide to move your offices to Lamone?
«The first reason is of a logistical nature, linked to the fact that the spaces in via Pioda, in Lugano, were by now insufficient to accommodate the staff and to adequately accommodate customers. Hence the decision to move to Lamone, in via Vedeggio 3, in a much larger room, modernly furnished and equipped with all the comforts that a workplace today requires ".
Could the relative distance from the center of Lugano be a problem?
“On the contrary, I think it can turn into an advantage in the short term. Without detracting from the center of Lugano, a process of decentralization of executive offices and company headquarters is now underway towards slightly more peripheral areas which, however, do not suffer from those congestion problems, primarily due to traffic, that afflict the city center. ".
Why Lamone in particular?
«Our decision was undoubtedly influenced by the opportunity offered by the availability of a new and spacious building, architecturally very good. But the precise will to orient ourselves towards conscious and environmentally friendly choices should not be underestimated, starting with a “light” mobility that prefers the use of the train over the private car. Lamone is located along the railway line that connects Lugano to the Gotthard, is well served by frequent connections and the station is located just a few tens of meters from our offices ".
Is this attention to respect for the environment also found in the offices?
«We have tried to adapt as much as possible to energy saving and environmental compatibility criteria, with innovative solutions as regards the technological systems, the computer network, the use of materials. We are convinced that environmental protection is a choice that now directly involves the social responsibility of companies and in this perspective we were happy to make a contribution too ».
Does this transfer come at the end of a year that ends positively?
«I would say that it has been a very positive year for all the sectors that represent our core business, which are in fact auditing and fiduciary consultancy. We continue to play a leading role in auditing, despite competition and the fact that many companies legally opt out of external audits. As regards consultancy, we have continued to grow also by virtue of the offer of new services and the processes of innovation and digitization also applied to our sector ».
Is your business increasingly turning to consulting for companies?
«Consultancy represents a field that has grown a lot in recent years and that is taking on an increasingly important role. To meet the various needs, we have developed specific advisory methods on issues such as national and international taxation or that linked to business succession, which already today affects a growing number of Swiss companies and which will grow further in importance in the coming years " .
