What began as a spontaneous idea among friends has now become an institution capable of attracting gourmets, Michelin-starred chefs, and food travelers from around the world to Ticino. After approximately 400 evenings, more than 600 Michelin stars, and countless memorable encounters, Sapori Ticino is more than just a culinary festival: it's a true cultural statement.
Cornèr Bank and Diners Club: Partners with a Heart for Ticino
As a main sponsor and long-standing partner, Cornèr Bank Ltd., together with Diners Club International, is proudly supporting the festival. For the Ticino bank based in Lugano, this commitment goes beyond simple sponsorship: it is a sign of its closeness to the region and its support for projects that make Ticino fully accessible in all its facets.
«Ticino flavors "Every year, it shows how much creativity, quality, and passion reside in Ticino. These very values connect our bank to the region," emphasizes Alessandro Seralvo, Executive Vice President of Cornèr Bank. "Diners Club has always supported the culture of fine dining and excellence by offering exclusive experiences: Sapori Ticino brings this spirit to life with authentic Ticino identity."
The collaboration highlights the festival's international dimension and, at the same time, its deep roots in Ticino: a bond that Cornèr Banca and Diners Club carefully cultivate, globally but with an approach that remains firmly anchored to the local area.
Brazil in Ticino: a sensory explosion
The 2025 edition took the public on a culinary journey across BrazilSix top-tier chefs took part in the event, including Rafa Costa e Silva and Ivan Ralston (both with two Michelin stars), Alberto Landgraf, Amazonian expert Felipe Schaedler, and of course the celebrated Manu Buffara from Curitiba, named South America's "Best Female Chef" in 2022. Their colorful menus brought tropical atmospheres to Ticino tables: feijoada met perch, the aromas of the Amazon fused with Alpine elegance, and the rhythms of samba accompanied the flavors of the South.
Danny Stauffacher, founder of the festival, expressed great satisfaction, drawing a positive conclusion after seven weeks of gastronomic pleasures: "It was an explosion of joie de vivre and proof that cuisine can build bridges between cultures, people and regions."
