The scholarship award ceremony of the Silvio & Marianne Tarchini Foundation took place today – Saturday 14 February 2026 – in the spaces of FoxTown, marking a new step in the entrepreneurial duo's commitment to higher education. This year's edition attracted significant numbers: 148 applications and 70 scholarships, following a selection process based on merit, personal commitment, and educational background.
Heterogeneous academic profiles and diverse backgrounds
The awarded students come from a broad spectrum of Swiss higher education institutions. These include theUniversity of Svizzera Italiana, the SUPSI, the Academy of Architecture of Mendrisio, ETH in Zurich, in addition to the universities of Lucerne, Bern, St. Gallen and LausanneA panorama that reflects the variety of university paths undertaken and the breadth of disciplines supported.
During the meeting, the president Silvio Tarchini He personally greeted the scholarship recipients, emphasizing the importance of their work and the results they achieved during their studies. This was a moment of direct discussion that strengthened the bond between the Foundation and the young beneficiaries.
Increasingly targeted support for training
Since 2022 The Silvio & Marianne Tarchini Foundation has progressively oriented its intervention towards structured support for university, postgraduate, and professional education. Priority remains focused on deserving Swiss students, with particular attention to young people from Ticino and those choosing careers in fields such as architecture, economics, and related disciplines. In this context, the Mendrisio Academy of Architecture continues to represent a leading educational center.

Towards the 2026/2027 call
At the closing of the ceremony, the upcoming publication of the competition notice for the 2026/2027 academic year was announced. The document will be available on official website of the Foundation starting from mid-September 2026, offering a new opportunity to university students from Ticino and Switzerland interested in obtaining concrete support for their studies.
