Geo Mantegazza was my father and the father of my brother and sisters
Everything that led to the silent and moving embrace of his beloved City and Region has been said and written about him.
It was nice to see him reciprocated with so much affection and respect also because he has always been close to everyone and has done so much for this community, without ever asking for anything in return.
What I feel, in the difficult moment of separation, I keep in my deepest intimacy, but compared to that great emptiness that one feels in these circumstances, I cling to the many fullnesses that he has left me.
I will honor his memory with the strength of what he left me and taught me, that is, those values that today are nullified by exuberant selfishness, to the detriment of generosity and the search for beauty, which today is too lacking. I learned these things within a family that is united and compact in respecting the differences of each of its members, of their individualities that, added together, unite us in one breath, in a single heartbeat.
Lugano has recently lost many different but highly valuable people and the generation that built the well-being of this Region is leaving.
Men and women who have given themselves beyond what was necessary, to be supportive and an example.
Only if we forget them and their teachings will these people be truly dead and will have done so in vain.
Hi Dad, thanks!
