In the heart of the evocative landscape of Monte Generoso, Alpe di Caviano stands as the fourth piece of an ambitious initiative: the Albergo Diffuso Monte Generoso (ADMG). This project, conceived in 2017, aims to accentuate the tourism offer of the region, networking its resources and enhancing the mountain territory.
The Alpe di Caviano, inaugurated yesterday, 5 March 2024, with a ceremony of great importance, represents the culmination of years of commitment and collaboration between institutions, local bodies and private individuals.
Located among the natural beauties of the Muggio Valley/Monte Generoso, this structure has undergone four intense years of renovation works, transforming itself into a modern and welcoming hospitality establishment.
On the ground floor, a room specially equipped for people with disabilities welcomes all guests, ensuring an inclusive and accessible experience. A delightful restaurant, embellished with the recovery of local materials, offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy traditional dishes with a panoramic view of the Po Valley.
The first floor houses five double bedrooms, each with private bathroom and a panoramic terrace ideal for relaxing and admiring the surrounding landscape. While the spacious attic on the second floor offers ten single beds, perfect for groups of friends looking for shared adventures.
The enthusiasm and commitment of the Patriciate of Castel San Pietro were fundamental to the success of this project. The financial and logistical support provided by the cantonal institutions, together with the collaborations established with various local associations, made the creation of this unique structure possible.
The official recognition of the project by the Department of Institutions translated into an extraordinary contribution of 200 thousand francs, testimony to the value and importance of initiatives aimed at enhancing the territory and promoting sustainable tourism.
The renovation of Alpe di Caviano is only a first step in a path of continuous growth for the Albergo Diffuso Monte Generoso. In various locations in the region, work is underway to expand the tourist offer, with the aim of consolidating the position of Monte Generoso as a destination of excellence on the Swiss and international scene.
