Watch Speedmaster Moonwatch by OMEGA has always represented a timeless icon in the world of watchmaking. Its history is intertwined with space exploration and its legendary status has been strengthened with the launch of the new version, featuring a bold white lacquered dial.

Since 1957, when the first Speedmaster was launched, the goal of OMEGA designers was to create a dial that was easy to read and reliable. With the new version, this search for legibility translates into a white dial with applied indexes and black details, with the Speedmaster writing in red drawing attention. This choice is not only aesthetic, but also functional, inspired by the colors of astronauts' spacesuits during extravehicular activities.

The inspiration for the white dial is not accidental. In addition to being an homage to spacesuits, white was also the color of the ALASKA I prototype, part of a secret NASA project for the perfect space clock. This color was chosen for its thermal properties, a technical detail that highlights OMEGA's focus on functionality as well as style.

The new version of the Speedmaster Moonwatch doesn't stop at the dial. The stainless steel case, vintage bracelet and black anodized aluminum bezel with the famous “Dot over 90” on the tachymeter scale reflect OMEGA's commitment to precision and quality craftsmanship.

Under the hood, the watch is powered by the Co-Axial Master Chronometer caliber 3861, an updated version of the legendary Caliber 321 that accompanied the astronauts to the Moon. This movement represents the cutting edge of watchmaking, guaranteeing precision and reliability in every situation.

With this new version of the Moonwatch, OMEGA confirms its commitment to uniting tradition and innovation, celebrating its connection with space exploration and offering enthusiasts a revisited icon for the future.
